Bollywood ‘Ek do teen’ girl Madhuri Dixit is going very slow on signing films because she is into something new. Madhuri is now concentrating more on making her venture Dance with Madhuri. Dr. Sriram Nene, husband of Madhuri Dixit, have recently tied up with TATA Sky to open a subscription based channel. The special thing about this channel will be that it will provide tutorials on different dance forms specially choreographed by Madhuri and other well-known dancers. They have created a an innovative and interactive app which has Content-on-demand.
Dr. Nene says, “We wish to scale Dance with Madhuri through Tata Sky as we have already launched dance studios as partners. But we are into other associations. Moreover, we have created a premium content bank for the subscription of the actual platform.” Aspiring dancers can create a profile in the portal offered thus, if anyone is willing to learn some dance steps just before a marriage or any social functions, they can approach any choreographer of their choice, navigating the internet.
Famous dancers like Remo D’Souza, Terence Lewis, Pandit Birju Maharaj, and Saroj Khan are already associated with Dance with Madhuri. But the couple is wishing to discover other talents who can become equally popular.
“We have got a recognized brand in Dance with Madhuri. Now going forward it becomes a resource for all of the film-makers, and dancers. We are making efforts to launch this in various countries. We already have mechanisms in place. When we find a creative and innovative talent, we want them to teach others. So it’s like creating jobs for others as well,” says Madhuri.
The couple confessed that this eventually has the strength to turn up to be a big supplier of dancers to the industry and the duo further reveals that they are formally associating with production houses like Dharma and YRF for this venture.
