Put behind the bars, Sanjay Dutt, whose 5-year imprisonment sentence for his participation in the 1993 Mumbai serial blasts was affirmed by the Supreme Court in March 2013, will be liberated from Jail by March 7, 2016. The reports confirmed that the 42-months will end by March 7 and is having the desperate reverse count to meet his families and friends. Bollywood actor was not found guilty of terror charges under the TADA, but found guilty of being in illegal arms, gained apparently to protect his family during the communal inferno that concentrated Mumbai after the destruction of the Babri Mosque on December 6, 1992.
Following the apex court orders, his bail bond was rejected and he was abruptly ordered to surrender within the maximum period of 4 weeks, which he integrated with on May 16, 2013 and was thrashed in Arthur Road Central Jail. A week later, he was shifted to the Yerawada Central Jail, Pune, where he has been accommodated since then. Sanjay Dutt has sincerely earned the prestige and reputation of being a Well-Behaved inmate.
Of the total 5-year sentence, the actor had already served 18 months as an undertrial and was needful to pass through another 42 months, which is now on the verge of completing. In between serving time, Dutt was granted either parole or furlough on various grounds, attracting a lot of criticism from various quarters, while some prominent personalities demanded his release from jail.
Well, let’s say more than the families, the directors would be willing for his comeback as crores of rupees has struck the production films that signed Sanju Baba, & Dutt will soon be getting back for his acting-work. In fact, his imprisonment has already shown the world that Indian Justice is not at all biased and has been firm against the illegal activities even though any celebrity is involved in it.
